In 2013, Arcade Fire released a 75-minute double album titled Reflektor. After rave reviews, the album was nominated for a 2014 Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album and the track "We Exist" was nominated for best music video.

The Reflektor Tapes

Since than, Arcade Fire has been on tour, scored music for the movie "Her" and… made a movie. Director Kahlil Joseph has been documenting their journey on the Reflektor from the recording studio in Montreal to an impromptu performance in Haiti and everything in between. The film is called "The Reflektor Tapes", and it offers an inside look on the music and performances of Arcade Fire.

Arcade Fire said on the film “There were parts of the Reflektor tour where I think we, Arcade Fire, came the closest in our careers to putting on stage what we imagined in our heads. We are insanely lucky to have Kahlil Joseph documenting from the very beginning.”

The film will premier on September 23rd at the Toronto International Film Festival and will can be seen globally on the 24th. Director Kahlil Joseph is also famous for his music video work and the short films "Until The Quiet Comes" and "The Mirror Between Us".
